Relevant Ads without Cookies: Browsing Topics Analytics and Targeting based on Topics API

In a privacy-first digital advertising world, maintaining relevance without relying on cookies is becoming increasingly critical. Biddingstack's Browsing Topics Analytics and Targeting enable advertisers to focus on specific topics without the need for cookies, ensuring privacy while still delivering effective ads.

The Privacy Sandbox Topics API offers a way for advertisers and publishers to understand user interests and behaviors without compromising privacy. By leveraging this API, advertisers can deliver personalized ads that respect user privacy.

The Topics API functions by analyzing user browsing activity over a set period, known as an "epoch" which is currently defined as one week in Chrome. Each user has their own epochs (epochs are "per user") and the initial start time is randomized. During this epoch, the API selects a topic randomly from the user's top five interests for that period and sends this information to the API caller.

Biddingstack now supports audience Browsing Topics Analytics and Targeting, allowing advertisers to craft ads based on users' interests at a granular level. This method ensures that advertisements are precisely tailored to the individual interests of users, resulting in higher engagement and conversion rates. This targeted approach not only enhances ad effectiveness but also builds user trust by respecting their privacy preferences.
